Our journey started long before the first penny was pressed. Our founder’s career has always lived at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and creative design:

• The Entrepreneurial Spark (1988): Built on a foundation of independent business ownership and a drive to create unique products from scratch.
• The Digital Design Era (1992): Crafting clean, highly complex vector graphics and path layouts back when digital design was in its infancy.
• The Media & Tech Boom: Leading as a computer magazine CEO for 8 years—overseeing the production and distribution of an incredible 19 million CD-ROMs worldwide.
• The Laser Pioneers (2004): Stepping into the world of industrial laser cutting and engraving, experimenting with early-generation machinery to push the boundaries of what physical materials could do.
• The Laser Master (2019): Achieving “Laser Master” status, mastering advanced fiber and MOPA laser tech to deep-engrave hardened steel rollers with sub-millimeter precision.

After successfully designing, manufacturing, and shipping a wide range of other custom laser-made products through our own e-commerce channels, we turned our focus to a classic, beloved American tradition: the pressed penny.

In 2024, we launched custompennies.com with a simple mission: to take the nostalgic, tactile joy of the elongated coin and elevate it with modern, high-definition laser engraving.
